Join acclaimed folk duo Magpie—Greg Artzner and Terry Leonino—for a powerful evening of music and reflection on the 55th anniversary of the ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø shootings. Originating in Kent in 1973, Magpie has spent over 50 years using music to advocate for justice, peace, and social change.
Jerry Lewis was professor of sociology at ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø from 1966 to 1996. He witnessed the May 4 shootings as a faculty marshal and dedicated much of his career to researching, memorializing, and lecturing about the events of May 4, 1970.
