Brandon Bell, a graduate in ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's Class of 2023, sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing" to open ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration event "Dialogue and Difference: a New Understanding MLK and Me" in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. The event was presented as a conversation over lunch centering on King's guiding principles of living a life of love and peace during times of conflict.
Bell is an Americorps Vista representative, working in ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's Office of University Outreach and Engagement. He was accompanied on piano by John Beavers, a graduate student studying public administration in ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's College of Arts and Sciences.
