More than 500 ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø volunteers are preparing to welcome incoming freshmen to the Kent Campus tomorrow morning. Move-in day starts at 8 a.m. and runs through 7 p.m.
Incoming freshman and their parents will have the opportunity to meet ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø President Beverly Warren and the university cabinet members outside Eastway Center beginning at 9 a.m.
Each year, volunteers with Movers and Groovers help students carry belongings to their new residence halls.
The Movers and Groovers program is part of ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø’s Welcome Weekend, an orientation program that will run from Aug. 24-27. Welcome Weekend includes activities and events to encourage students to explore the ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø community and provides a smooth transition to the university environment.
